#24hoursolo
When was the last time you were truly alone? When did you give yourself space to reflect on issues you may have been struggling with for some time? Or really connected with yourself and nature? Without all the (digital) stimuli from home, work, your agenda and daily life.
Hier mag jij 4 dagen lang in opgaan.
With limited resources, you will head into the mountains together with your private instructor. During these 4 days you will trek together through the wilderness of Asturias. You will learn to live more simply. The result: a happier you!
During the intake interview we try to find out why you want to experience an Unplugged Solo Trip and why at this particular time? With this input we will plan your solo trip and give you advice in advance on what you need to take into account.
Four days of unwinding and disconnecting yourself from the daily routine. It will hopefully give you new insights and perspectives. But you will also learn to have a fantastic adventure with limited resources that you will think back on often!
¡Bienvenido a Asturias!
Good morning!!! Have you been sleeping wonderfully Unplugged? Before we get started, a hearty breakfast is waiting for you. Then it's time to refine your navigational skills. During your solo adventure you will be given a GPS system, so let's make sure you get familiar with it first.
After you learn the ins and outs of the GPS, the instructor checks your gear. Only the essentials go with you on your solo adventure. Once everything is checked, it's time for the ultimate step: all electronic devices are turned in to your instructor - Devices OFF, nature ON!
You will receive a coordinate you navigate to and within a radius of no more than 25 meters you will set up your bivouac. Here you will apply all your learned bushcraft skills. You will stay at this location until the instructor comes to pick you up the next morning. Let's navigate the wild!
As the instructor walks into your bivouac, curiosity shines in his eyes. How was your solo experience? Did you find the peace you longed for? Did you find answers to your questions? Did it create space for new creativity? Or was it simply a wonderful adventure? Together you share experiences and slowly break down the bivouac site, leaving behind as if no one had ever been there. Hopefully you learned a lot and gained a wealth of experiences. Back at the car, ready to return to civilization, you enjoy one last meal and discuss the unforgettable days behind you.

I love survival, the Great Outdoors and quasi survival in nature. Bushcraft is a good example of that. Nothing is more fun than surviving primitively outdoors in a forest or in the mountains. It clears your head and you gain respect for nature. Normally everything goes by like an express train, our schedules are often too full and status seems to become more and more important. To help you escape this, I would like to be in nature, together with you.
During my time in the Ministry of Defense, I was already prepared for survival skills and to lead groups. Meanwhile, I am a certified Hike & Survival instructor, Hiking & Backpacking Guide, Wilderness Guide and I master several techniques for outdoor & bushcraft.
When most people think of Spanish beaches, crowded tourist destinations on the eastern and southern costas appear before their mind's eye. But there is a magical exception in northern Spain - the province of Asturias. Here you will discover an oasis of tranquility amid pristine nature, enchanting coves and beaches and a rugged mountainous hinterland where wild bears make their home.
Located on the Cantabrian Sea, Asturias borders Galicia to the west, Cantabria to the east, and Castile and León to the south. Along the coastline stretches the majestic Cantabrian Mountains. Thanks to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, this part of Spain is also known as the "Costa Verde," or Green Coast. Pleasant temperatures are felt here all year round, even in summer. The entire landscape is a lush paradise and is home to numerous national parks, with the famous Picos de Europa being a well-known attraction. Asturias' rugged coastline, characterized by imposing rock formations and sheer cliffs, shares a distinctive feature with Normandy in France: significant tidal variations. At low tide, a wonderland of rocks and sparkling pools reveals itself, teeming with life and splashes of color. Deep in the enchanting mountain landscape, you can wander for days without meeting a human being, until you arrive in one of the authentic villages.
Asturias' rich nature goes beyond picturesque panoramas; it is also home to an impressive array of wildlife, including chamois, golden eagles, buzzards, griffon vultures and further inland even bears and wolves. Five of Asturias' natural areas have received UNESCO recognition as biosphere reserves. In particular, the "Peaks of Europe" are a natural wonder of unparalleled beauty. But even the lesser-known nature reserves, such as Redes, Las Ubiñas y de la Mesa and Somiedo, are breathtaking. At the Ubiñas-la-Mesa nature reserve, you can even canoe on the reservoir. Somiedo is known as the ultimate place to observe wolves and bears in the wild, while also offering enchanting views of the surroundings. The Sierra de Tameza presents a beautiful coulisse landscape and houses a small bear sanctuary. The Sierra del Aramo is famous for its panoramic views and beautiful gorges. This is the ideal place to go offline and completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life, while immersing yourself in the unspoiled beauty of Asturias.
